La Toya McBean is an attorney who has worked on Capitol Hill and advised policymakers in state and local governments. After leaving government in 2016, she founded The Daniel Society and the Law Office of LaToya N. McBean.

 Dr. Jerry Vuncannon – Vice-Chair


Jerry Vuncannon is an Assistant Professor of Graduate Counseling at Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana and, he is a Licensed Professional Counselor in North Carolina.

Merline Antwine has a heart for community service and working with people. She worked in the healthcare field for nearly 20 years.

Pastor Devon Bailey is the senior pastor of the Great Commission Church in East New York, Brooklyn.

Sherana Jackson is an educator of English language learners in the New York City Public School System and an Adjunct Lecturer at New York City College of Technology.


Dr. Victor Kolade –  Adviser, Center for Global Initiatives


Dr. Victor Kolade is an Associate in Internal Medicine at The Guthrie Clinic. He has also served as Internal Medicine Residency Program Director at Guthrie.

Shupekile Margaret Mwanza, BA – Board Member


Shupekile Margaret Mwanza is an IT Service Management Advisor for World Vision, and the Chapter Director for Startup Grind Lusaka, the largest independent startup community that actively educates, inspire, and connect founders in 200 cities.

Shauna Tonkin, Ph.D. – Adviser, Center for Global Initiatives


Shauna Tonkin is the education director at Pacific Aviation Museum Pearl Harbor. For more than 25 years, Tonkin has worked in leadership roles in academic and museum environments.
